Live & Learn

"The most valuable thing I have learned in life is regret nothing."
Why regret something than once made us happy? It just wouldn't make any sense at all. If you dated someone and had the best months, even years, of your life, why would you regret it? It made you happy. Never regret anything.

"Life's a dance, you learn as you go."
You aren't gonna know everything all at one time. You learn more as life goes on, just like a dance.

"No one can give you better advice than yourself"
When you ask someone for advice, they're basically telling you what to do and how to do something. Why would you want that? Listen to your heart. Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life. It's yours.

Life goes on.

Life Quotes

"God doesn't give you the people you want. He gives you the people you need to help you, to hurt you, to love you, and to make you into the person you were meant to be"
I really like this one because I know it's the truth. God doesn't always give us what we want, but He gives us what we need. We need people to help us out in life, and to hurt us. Other people in our lives make us into who we are.

"A second chance doesn't mean anything if you don't learn from the first." There's usually always a second chance. But a second chance isn't just to see if it works again. You have to change things during that second chance. There's a reason the first time didn't work out, so in order for the second chance to work out, you must learn from the first.

"Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can't change" This is from a Southern Belle t shirt, and it is one that I live off of. Laughing is necessary for life, so why not laugh whenever possible? Apologize no matter what. Even if it wasn't entirely your fault. Apologizing makes you a better person. Always apologize. Letting go of what you know you can't change is key to life. If you hold onto something for too long, it gets tired of you and doesn't want you. Let go of what you know you can never change. Life goes on.

"Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you. You just have to find the ones worth suffering for." Almost every person you encounter in life is going to hurt you in some way. The ones that are worth keeping are the ones worth suffering for. People that break your heart are not worth suffering. They hurt you once, they'll hurt you again.

"You have to take the good from the bad, smile when you're sad. Love what you have and always remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget. Learn from mistakes but don't regret. People do changes and things go wrong, but always remember that life goes on." Where ever there is something bad, it means there was once something good that went bad. Take the good from it. Smiling when you're sad shows you're strong. Always love what you have. You don't have to like it, but you gotta love it. Always remember what you had. God let you have a memory for a reason. Use it. People change, but that's life. Things do wrong but they were once right, so make them right again. The number one thing we have to remember about life, is that it goes on.

Change Quotes

"Life can either be accepted or changed. If it is not accepted, it must be changed. If it cannot be changed, then it must be accepted."

"There's nothing wrong with change if it's in the right direction."

"Nobody can go back and start a new begining, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."

"Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together."

"The key to change is to let go of fear."

"Things don't change, people do."

"We change, wether we like it or not."

"Change is the only constant."

Change

I am going through a lot change right now. I'm transitioning from the 9th grade school to the high school. I'm losing friends then gaining other ones. I'm fighting with people I shouldn't be fighting with. I'm finding out what's good and bad here. I'm realizing that not everything goes the way I want it. I'm realizing that people lie to get what they want. I'm learning how to be fifteen. Change is everywhere. Good and bad, it's all around us. But what I've started to see is that things don't change all the time. People do. "Sometimes the smallest change can change your life forever." This is very true. I'll start out with my story from 8th grade. I had these 7 best friends, all in the 7th and 6th grade. We were together all the time. We had parties at lunch at school for no reason, we laughed till we cried. We were perfect. Then that dreadful day of 8th grade awards day came. I was the only 8th grader of that group of friends, so I would soon be leaving them for the 9th grade school. We promised to stay friends. At least I thought we all did. The second month of school that fall, none of them talked to me, except for one. They all turned against me and talked about me behind my back and said how bad of a friend I was. Lies. All lies. That was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. I called them and fought with them day in and day out. I never really have made up with them, and it's been nearly a year and a half. It was the smallest change, but it changed my life for good. I lost 6 people I thought were my long term best friends. Another life changing small change is switching from middle school to high school. We had three middle schools in my town all merging in 9th grade. I was scared to death that my school would be outcasts, because only 100 people from our school were going in, and 500 from another were coming. But I am so glad I went to Rosa Scott that year. Most of my true friends are from that school, and all it took was a little change. Change is everywhere, wether it be good or bad. Change is an inevitable thing in life, and we just have to learn to deal with it. Life goes on.

About Me

Hey there!! My name is Paige McKay, and I am 15 years old. I've had one of these blogs before when I was in 7th grade. We had to have one fro school. Now that I am older, I have found another use for this site, and that is to post some quotes to inspire and lift people up, or just to make people laugh. Quotes are my everything. I live by them. My FaceBook status is usually a quote. Sometimes I may even post a bible verse. Now I know you're probably thinking that I am some troubled and disturbed child, but I'm not at all. I am a cheerleader, and I have many friends. The thing is, I am still discovering who my real friends are. I am also going through a tough break up. It's tough because it seems as if the whole relationship was a lie. So the purpose of this blog is to pretty much vent about my day at school along with some quotes, or if I am having a bad day I can come here and vent. I hope yall enjoy reading this. :)
